About teach me music
is a new Australian music teacher directory and music resource website. We began working on the site in early 2012 in order to address the need for a visually appealing, feature rich, and easy to navigate online directory dedicated exclusively to music teachers. Our goal is to provide music teachers with all the tools necessary for building an online presence so that students have all the information they need to choose the right teacher for them. We also aim to promote an active and engaged online community of music teachers through our blog, which all registered music teachers are encouraged to contribute to.
We want new students to know as much about a teacher as they can before going in for the first lesson. For that purpose we have made every effort to give teachers ample opportunity to represent themselves and their teaching practice on teach me music, through our blog, video and audio embedding, and our detailed listing forms.
We hope to make teach me music a website which the most dedicated and enthusiastic music teachers choose to promote their studios. We also aim to keep teach me music up to date and free from outdated and spam listings, which is why we don’t offer free listings. We want the experience of finding a music teacher to be as simple and enjoyable as possible for our visitors.
If you are looking for a music teacher, you may search for one in your local area by filling out the search form above. If you are looking for articles or written lessons by teach me music members, you may search our blog page. Teachers are encouraged to contribute to the blog in the spirit of promoting an active and engaged online community of music teachers and to give potential students an idea of their teaching style, philosophy, and approach to music making.
